GOOD DEEDS KALIMAT

good deeds kalimat

In Islam, greatness is not always measured by length or difficulty. Sometimes, even the simplest words carry immense significance.
Prophet Muhammad (saw) described two short Kalimat that require minimal effort but yield tremendous reward, words that are light on the tongue but weigh heavily on the scales of deeds.

These Kalimat are not  poetic expressions; they are acts of worship, deeply rooted in Sunnah and loved by Allah.

Prophetic Foundation

Narrated by Abu Huraira (ra): Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, “There are two  words which are light on the tongue, heavy on the Scale, and beloved to the Most Merciful.”

[Sahih Bukhari 6682]

 1.
Subhanallahi Wabihamdihi

Subhanallahi Wabihamdihi

Glory be to Allah and all praise is for Him.

Prophetic Reward

The Prophet (saw) said,
Whoever recites Subhanallahi Wabihamdihi  one hundred times, one hundred thousand (and more) good deeds are written for him, or his sins are erased.
[Sahih Muslim]

(Some narrations mention 1,24,000 rewards, reflecting abundance rather than limitation.)

Why this Zikr is Powerful

- It combines Tasbeeh (glorifying Allah) and Hamd (praising Allah).

- It cleanses sins.

- It builds humility and gratitude simultaneously.

- It can be recited anytime, anywhere.

This Zikr trains the heart to acknowledge Allah’s perfection while recognizing His blessings.

 2.
Subhanallahil Azeem

Subhanallahil Azeem”

Glory be to Allah, the Most Great.

Sunnah Practice

Abu Hurairah (ra) narrate:
When the Prophet (saw)
was very worried or thought deeply about something, he would raise his gaze toward the sky and say:
Subhanallahil Azeem

This shows that the zikr was:

- Used during times of mental burden.

- A response to fear, difficulty, or contemplation.

- A Sunnah reaction to highly distressing situations.

Spiritual Benefits

- It instills a sense of reverence for Allah's greatness.

- It reduce anxiety caused by worldly problems.

>> If you are struggling with persistent fear or uncertainty, you may also reflect upon Ayatul Kursi, one of the greatest verses for protection and spiritual strength.

- It turns the heart away from creation and towards the Creator.

Confirmation from the Qur’an

So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.

[Surah Haqqah 69:52]

This ayat directly establishes Subhanallahil Azeem as an act of worship according to the Qur’an.

When to recite these Kalimat

>> These Kalimats beautifully complement the Morning and Evening Duas prescribed in the Sunnah, forming a powerful daily shield for the believer.

- During daily activities.

- While walking, resting, or reflecting.

- In moments of stress or gratitude.

- As part of your daily Azkar.

Consistency matters more than quantity.

Even beginning with a simple daily routine such as reciting Subhanallahi Wabihamdihi 100 times alongside your morning and evening remembrance can transform the heart gradually and consistently.
