Benefits of Darood
BENEFITS OF DAROOD
Darood is invoking particular praises for Prophet Muhammad (saw).
Darood is expressed regularly after five times Salat every day and whenever Prophet Muhammad's (saw) name comes while reading, speaking, and hearing.
There are many benefits to reciting Darood, including:
1. According to a Hadith, the person who recites Darood the most will be closest to Prophet Muhammad(saw) on the Day of Judgement.
And, Allah is close to those who are close to His Prophet.
2. Another Hadith says, one who does not send Darood upon hearing the name of Prophet Muhammad's (saw), is a miser.
3. In a Hadith, if a person recites Darood once, Allah sends 10 blessings upon him and erases 10 sins from him and elevates him 10 degrees in status
(in Jannah) and 10 good deeds are written for him.
4. Darood helps in energizing oneself by purifying from sins and strengthening one's faith.
5. Darood also helps our prayers to be accepted faster by Allah.
6. One who recites Darood regularly, Allah is pleased with him and guides him to do more good deeds.
7. The person who recites Darood regularly, all his worries of this world and the hereafter will be removed.
8. Reciting Darood can be a means of receiving intercession from Prophet Muhammad (saw) on the Day of Judgment.
In conclusion, reciting Darood is a virtuous act which has many benefits both in this life and the hereafter.
