ACCEPTANCE OF REPENTANCE
The Qur'an explicitly emphasizes repentance as a path to Allah's mercy.
If one repents sincerely, Allah will forgive all sins, no matter how great they may be.
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said; "Every son of Adam sins, the best of the sinners are those who repent."
[Tirmidhi, 2499]
One should never be disheartened, thinking that Allah will not accept his forgiveness. Rather, he should have faith in Allah and repent to purify the nafs.
Despair is the way of the unbelievers while the believer is the one who repents and never loses hope in Allah.
"Surely Allah loves those who are most repenting and loves those who purify themselves."

[ Surah Al Zumar 39:53]
Say: O my Servants who have transgressed against
their souls.
Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
If there is a feeling of embarrassment for the sins committed in some part of your life, then consider it a blessing from Allah and the door of repentance opened.
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said; Allah accepts the repentance of His servant before he loses his breath.
"And it is He Who accepts the repentance of His servants and forgives their sins. And He knows all that you do."
[Surah Ash-Shura 42:25]
Confess your sins only to Allah. Pray to Him and express your indecisiveness, helplessness, and shortcomings before Him.
